Water Quality Initiatives
The Association has several Water Quality and Milfoil Removal projects:
Milfoil Removal: Annually, the Northeast Aquatic Services does a survey of the lake for identifying milfoil and other invasive species. From these reports a decision is made on remediation of the most important areas. Grant, Town of Ellington and the Crystal Lake Association hire a group that removes milfoil in the areas selected using a "harvest suction" technique.
Water Quality Testing: The Association has a Water Quality Team that goes out from April to October to take samples of water and measurements of Disolved Oxygen, water temperature and clarity of water down to 14 meters.
Boat checking: It is imperative that fisherman and boaters are making sure there boats are clean and free from any invasive species that could be coming from other lakes/water sources. Please read the Fisherman/Boaters notice.

Thank you! The Crystal Lake Association, lakeowners, and everyone who uses the lake help continue to make this a pristine, beautiful and clean lake.
